I would make the bread pudding it...Good Evening, <br /><br />I would make the bread pudding itself the morning of the Christmas dinner. Then when you are ready to travel just cover it with Plastic wrap and then aluminum foil. When you get to your in-laws, I would warm it in the oven before serving. Just remove the plastic wrap but keep it covered with the aluminum foil when warming. <br /><br />Regarding the bourbon caramel sauce, If possible I would make it at your in-laws right before you are going to serve it. If you aren't able to do that, then make it close to the time you are going to leave for your in-laws. Store in tupperware type of container, and right before serving, warm it on the stove in a saucepan or in the microwave. <br /><br />Let me know if you have any questions.
